No More Computer...

I won't be posting in my blog for a while. I am at Reina's house now using her laptop to post and update what is going on. Yesterday my sweet little 2 year old Keala decided to spray the computer monitor with water. He says he was cleaning it for me. It's my fault. I was in the bathroom getting dressed for the day. Right away, I ran over and wiped off the screen. It was already dimming, dimming, gone! The screen went black. It doesn't work anymore. I won't be able to get a new monitor for at lease another 2 weeks. I am leaving tomorrow for the weekend. I'll be back early Sunday morning to go to church with my family. I am off to the Bay Area tomorrow to go to the Oakland Temple on Saturday. My cousin Sophia Taumalolo will be receiving her own Endowment. I am so excited for her. It's been a while since any of our family has entered the Temple for the first time.

Oh, yesterday Keala got the best thing ever! He finally got his "Lightning McQueen" clogs from Lily. He is on cloud nine. When I am able to post pictures of them I will. Darren will be home with the kids alone. I pray they will survive these couple of days without me. I will probably take Maile with me to make things easier at home. Maile seems to have trouble with the baby and Sasha.

Till later.

Mrs. Cornford's class performs songs..

Sasha and the entire Kindergarten classes of Veterans Elementary performed for all at the "Student of the Month" assembly. How does one become SOTM? Each class wore a certain color. Mo'unga earned a certificate for checking out a lot of books from the Library. He's in the 50 pt club at school...Good job Mo!

Spring Break in Anaheim with SF Cousins

We had a blast during Spring Break. We were able to spend Friday thru Monday with some of our family from the Bay Area. Alex and Kesaia with their kids came down from Utah to do some house hunting in Orange County. I told Kesaia we would come down and see them since we were only 2 hours away. Ends up Losili and Nolan flew in from Millbrae to spend the weekend with them. Also, Alex's family from Carson came to visit. Vika and Paul with their kids drove down to go to Disneyland and spend the weekend also. It was great! We all stayed together in the "Homewood Suites" Hotel. All the kids had fun being with each other. Sasha and I went along with the Tonga family to Disneyland on Saturday. I owed Sasha a visit since I took Mo and Maile the beginning of last summer. Sasha had fun with her buddy "Little Kesaia". You can see by the photos what a wonderful family I have...I love them so much!

Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby...

Okay, you may disagree with me but, I don't really care for some of the scouting projects. For instance..the pinewood derby deal. Okay, first of all, it isn't for the boys it's for the Dads. Second, all it teaches the boys is that someone elses Dad knows how to make a better car than your Dad. Then the boys get in tears once they lose a run.

Okay Mo'unga and Darren spent a few late nights making this Derby car. This is all new for Darren since he didn't attend Boy Scouts when he was young. Last year, we sent Mo there with a car he made on his own. Was that a shock. He basically was looking pretty shabby. So, this year Darren wanted to do better for Mo. He spent a few late nights out in the garage after work making this "hot car" for Mo. Then when we went to the Pack Meet Mo only had 2 runs and he was done. What a waste of Darren's hard work. Mo was happy but, I don't see the positive point of it all....anyone care to explain?

Wow..Time Does Fly...

Here is the latest photo of Darren and I. This was taken at Lake Ming also. We asked Mo'unga to take it. Pretty good job I'd say. Watch out Linda Hamilton. It is just amazing to look how much we've changed (aged). Darren's head is pretty much grey. I'm trying to work with my under eye wrinkles. Just to think 14 years ago this all started for us. We met 14 years ago in August and that day has brought us to where we are now. We've been through a lot of stuff together. Marriage is definately a learning process. The idea of bringing two strangers together along with their backround, cultures, history, faults, perfections, hang-ups and what not. Then we try to somehow work it all together to form a "new family" with traditions etc... and accept your spouse as the #1 person in your life. It is amazing how all that works. Darren won my heart at "first sight". I hope we can get past the flaws and continue making great history for our kids and future family members.

General Conference Sunday

The kids did very well during General Conference Weekend. For me, it is the longest weekend. Not going to church just makes the day not end. I shouldn't look at it that way but, I do. I talked Darren into driving to Heart Park to feed the ducks. There were too many people there. He didn't want to be there. So, we tried Lake Ming. There were less people but, still Darren wanted a secluded place. I told him he needs to buy an island then. We walked around a little bit. The kids enjoyed it. We used to bring Mo and Maile to Lake Ming all the time when we first moved to Bakersfield. There are a lot of memories there for them.

Sasha has lost her 2nd front tooth yesterday...

Sasha-Mariah has been allowing this top tooth to just hang in there for months now. She did not let any of us touch it at all. She didn't even move it with her finger. She just waited. The first top tooth was taken out by her classmate Ava last month. Sasha says she accidently punched her in the face and out came the tooth. Thursday morning Sasha came into my room with the tooth in her hand. She was so excited. She says she almost swallowed it.
